Since its founding in 2016, Remark Glass and its sister nonprofit, Bottle Underground, have diverted 555,150 lbs of glass from landfills. Based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Remark Glass creates small-batch home accessories from post-consumer bottle glass, aiming to build a more sustainable art form and manufacturing practice that simultaneously reduces glass waste.
In an energy-intensive industry, all of us at Wissmach are invested in doing our part to reduce waste and mitigate the environmental impact of our work. That commitment takes many forms day-to-day, and adding this new collaborative offering to diversify our product line while expanding Remark’s reach and mission is a perfect fit.
The Wissmach X Remark Recycled Bottle Stained Glass Sample Set includes 8 glass sheets, each approximately 4″ x5″, made from post-consumer bottle glass. The colors included in the sample set are Gold, Olive, Amber, Forest, Emerald, Ice, Aqua, and Cobalt.
They are all unknown COE and likely not compatible with each other, so they are intended for cold processes like stained glass, mosaics, engraving, etc.
